Natural shade with an Ibiza vibe

Bring authentic charm to your garden or terrace with this stylish coconut fibre shade sail. The airy, woven material provides cooling shade while adding a Mediterranean touch to your outdoor space. Perfect for those who love a natural Ibiza look with a sustainable twist.

Why choose this coconut shade sail?

  • 100% natural coconut fibre with a warm, authentic look
  • Open structure: protects from intense sunlight while allowing air and light to pass through
  • Biodegradable and completely free from plastics
  • Wind resistant up to 70 km/h
  • Characteristic sagging effect for a natural, organic and elegant look

What’s included in the package?

  • Coconut fibre shade sail of your choice
  • 10 metres of coconut rope for a natural and stylish installation

Mounting materials not included – see below for available options.

Mounting & installation

The sail can be installed between walls, wooden Robinia poles or a combination of both. Thanks to the included coconut rope, the installation perfectly matches the natural look of the sail.

  • Allow at least 75 cm extra per corner between the sail and the fixing point
  • Keep around 50 cm of slack for proper positioning
  • Recommended installation height: 270 to 350 cm

Behaviour in rain & wind

The coconut fibres temporarily absorb moisture during rain, which may cause the sail to sag up to 30 cm extra. Once dry, it returns to its original shape. Therefore, avoid installing it too low.

In wind speeds above 70 km/h, we recommend removing the sail temporarily.

The ultimate organic look: combine with Robinia poles

Combine this coconut sail with our robust Robinia wooden poles to create a fully natural outdoor setting full of character. The poles are strong, durable and easy to install in concrete bases.

  • Minimum base size: 50 × 50 cm
  • Post depth in the ground: 100 cm

FAQ

We do not recommend this. Open fire and heat can damage or dry out the natural fibres. In addition, smoke may cause odours and discolouration. Always keep a safe distance.

You can clean it using a soft brush to remove dust and dirt. If needed, use lukewarm water, but avoid aggressive cleaning products or pressure washers.

Yes, but with caution. As it is a natural woven material, fibres may loosen or fray. Use sharp tools and consider finishing the edges for durability.

The lifespan depends on usage and weather conditions. As a natural product, it will age and wear over time. Under normal use, it can last one to several seasons, especially if stored during bad weather.

Yes, this is completely normal. Exposure to sun, rain and wind will give the sail a lighter, greyish tone. This natural ageing process is part of its authentic charm.
